Why walking around in public with Vision Pro makes no sense

Social mores aside, Vision Pro doesn’t seem designed to be used on the go.

I don’t think wearing something like this in public will ever look normal, not at least in my lifetime.

And won’t it be dangerous and cause accidents to people wearing them while walking?

As same as wearing one mask the whole day and washin1g it on next day? Or maybe as same as mass injection of untested vaccines? Or maybe as same as being scared about next war or escalate one of the current ones?

I as a person who spend some time to research, think and listen to more smart than me people can say that. I have analysed situation and bough food savings something like 2 weeks before war on Ukraine. Except government decisions that affects more or less everyone nothing really caused me a bigger problem. Food price increase? I have “tons of” meat I can eat everyday without a worry about it’s quality or appearance in shops.

However most of people do not think about future. They were “trained” by TV that UFO means green aliens. They are used to live today without thinking about tomorrow. If TV would say wear Vision Pro they follow it’s fake trend. Well … we live in such a ridiculous time that I would not be surprised that many people would agree to have :poop: on their heads to … I don’t know … express themselves or … protect from invasion of green aliens? :face_vomiting:

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe!

Well … in most cases not. Obviously if you would search then you would find many people with accidents with normal glasses or sunglasses. I wouldn’t be surprised if during a car crash one or more eyes were less or more damaged … :eyeglasses:

The only extra thing to consider is a battery. Well … again nothing happened to most of people having their smartphones in a pocket. Still I’m not doing that if I don’t need it. “Just for any case” argument does not works for me. :see_no_evil:

After a day working on a computer, wear such glasses outside is the last thing I’d like

At least for now at least

Even if it means translating text in real time and other features like that? Never say never. I’m a type of home-bird and I never expected that I would relocate to other city. Now I’m in other country. Life is brutal :smiling_imp:

hahaha sure, you have a good point, and I agree with you, it has potential.
but as I said, at least for now I do not see myself using it.
Even for real time translations, if I were to move to another country I think I’d try to learn the basics before.

Crazy walking around in public with it - it will cause lots of accidents as you won’t be able to properly see what’s going on :upside_down_face:
