This is a great list of alternative phones for those scared of the incoming privacy meltdown.
Most names were new, but one name is familiar: Jolla. This company was formed by former Nokia employees(if I recall correctly) who left after the Symbian OS project was cancelled. Seeing that name brings fond memories of using Python on the Nokia N97 Mini.
All that aside, it’s nice to know that there are a few underdog companies doing business in the handset market, and so maybe all hope isn’t lost ![]()
There are some items to consider for non-Apple/non-Google smarphone

All those options have the ability to add the Google Play Store. Some versions run Google Play as a mini container inside the phone, so yes, you have the ability to use Google Play.
I think the ease of access is the biggest issue for these phones. Some of these phones are expensive, and getting after-sales repair services is a hurdle.
The network issue isn’t a big deal. 5G/4G is the same everywhere. But for most of the phones, they were 4G.

Sadly, @andrea these phones are a bit expensive, $200 minimum starting price. Considering that, I personally wasn’t impressed by any particular handset. But to each their own.
