I am hoping with 10 years! But will probably be 20 to 30 because no doubt they want to screw every last penny out of us!! :icon_mad:

It’s been ā€œthe next 20 yearsā€ for at least 50 years now… :pensive:

The problem is super hard, there are almost no nations that actually fund long-term science so IMO that puts it well beyond at least a century from now…

On the other hand, climate change is already visible and maybe people will panic and start doubling down on science more. Here’s to hoping. Although I don’t count of people being rational by default. :confused:

I’d guess it’s probably to do with:

A) They (/their buddies) make shed loads of money through existing fuel
B) The impact it would have on the world - imagine a world with free energy

I have very little respect for most people in power. They are just interested in lining their pockets (or those of their ā€˜pals’) and don’t really give a damn about creating a better world :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:
