TLDR: treat the AI like a super-speedy but junior developer on your team and always keep humans in the driving seat.
I was thinking the same recently - currently AI is like a very eager junior developer, who sometimes (often?) gets tripped up by lack of real world experience. Time, will almost certainly change that tho..
Yeah, totally agree. Just because something “feels” fun to code doesn’t mean it’s okay to skip testing or ignore best practices. Clean code still matters, even when using AI tools.
Time will certainly tell, but until then we still need our thinking hats on.
All these AI tool releases it’s like there’s an agent for everything: an agent for cleaning the toilets, an agent for brushing your teeth, an agent for laundry, an agent for waking you up, blah blah.
Reminds of the the 2017-18 period when every other day there was a white paper with an initial coin offering.
I can’t wait for this AI bubble to BURST.
