It really has nothing to do with Apple. It has to do with the focus on attaching a hugely expensive ‘custom’ device to what should be relatively simple software in order to comply with archaic Medicaid requirements. This has prevented competition and thus advancement in the software side of communication assistance.

It is a good tool for drawing but still hard to change the user old way of using laptop / notebook.
