The updated hardware will come complete with 2TB of solid-state storage (up from 1TB on the original PS5), but without an Ultra HD Blu-Ray disc drive, which users can purchase as an add-on accessory for $80.

For me extra 1 TB is nothing comparing to a Blue-Ray drive. Having in mind how huge are games today it’s terribly easy to collect quickly enough game discs and most probably many players already have lots of said discs especially in countries like Japan where many people are collecting manga, anime or games - now think that’s a Japanese company. 700 USD for just an upgrade which would not support someone’s huge disc collection is a joke, a very bad joke. :-1:
