Please do not use Python for tooling.
Programmers like to argue over programming languages and tooling. If we remove all the pretense, it usually comes down to people defending their personal choices. We have a tendency to try to justify and protect our investment in whatever languages and tools we know and use.

I have my share of criticism of Python but this article doesn’t make sense. Uses a lot of vague terminologies and are largely more personal opinion and less example driven. You can replace Python with any programming language here and you won’t need to replace anything else for the article to convert into that other language based one.
I know Python has its flaws, but it has been really useful for us, and help automate some of our tasks.
