Oban Comes to Python

Today we’re releasing Oban, a PostgreSQL backed job orchestration framework, for Python. This is not an Oban client in Python. Not a pythonx wrapper embedded in Elixir. Nope, it’s a fully operational, PostgreSQL backed, typed, async, pythonic-as-we-could-muster implementation of Oban in Python.

Congratulations, @sorentwo! I’ve seen you in the Elixir Slack helping people out and resolving issues with Oban. More success to you! I can’t wait for the day, you pull another Oban for say, Ruby or Go. Conquer the market!

Too late. I already planted the seeds of temptation. The harvest will be 100 fold. So get ready and BEWARE!

Yep. The level and care of concern they showed on the Elixir side was something else.

When they do conquer or make plans to do so, I’ll sign up and join them as their CMO!
