Elm 0.19.2 released!

Elm 0.19.2 has been released.

Elm 0.19.2 introduces some compiler performance upgrades, so your builds may get a bit faster! More info is available here:

There are no language changes, so once you swap to "elm-version": "0.19.2" in your elm.json file, you should be able to proceed without any further code changes.

So did they resume work on Elm?

I remember that about 10 years ago there was quite a buzz around it.. and then the author seemed to stop working on it.

Wasn’t expecting to see a new Elm release. I just checked, and the previous one was almost 7 years ago. Elm has always been one of those projects that everyone took inspiration from, but not many people actually used.

This news made me more happy than I expected. So good to see activity on such a beautiful and compact language.
