Artichoke Ruby is a modular Ruby implementation written in Rust. Artichoke is made up of several Rust libraries, called crates, which are arranged in a Cargo workspace.

Aside: This document uses the word “interpreter” to refer to a Ruby engine. This word may mean either a VM-based or interpreted Ruby engine.

# Artichoke Ruby Architecture

Artichoke Ruby is a modular Ruby implementation written in Rust. Artichoke is
