I agree with the Online Safety Bill because I want the authorities to be able to prevent/stop crimes, but this might affect the safety/security of everyday ordinary citizens.

Yes, I agree. I hope that the government will really use this “a last resort, and only when stringent privacy safeguards have been met”.
