An interactive look at how a video signal is made

The image on the left is a simple static image that I was able to output as a video signal (NTSC-M). I attached an oscilloscope to the video output, and recorded an image for each line in the picture area (for my oscilloscope’s video trigger, that’s line 21 through 262). I only took screengrabs of the lines in field 1.

By moving the slider, you can look at the trace of each video line.
