I still like the Eagle Eye movie, the computer in it wasn’t ‘the bad guy’ in my eyes, quite the opposite… >.>

I’ve always thought of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein as one of the original scifi/robot/AI novels, and if you actually read it you might find the creature a far more sympathetic character than its creator, Victor Frankenstein, who abandoned his creation in revulsion and terror at what he had done.
I had the opportunity to see the UK National Theatre’s recent stream of a production of Frankenstein starring Benedict Cumberbatch; it’s too bad it’s no longer showing.

It’s wild how the concept of human simulation in shows like Westworld or Black Mirror is quickly shifting from pure sci-fi into our daily reality. We might still be far from conscious androids, but AI’s ability to recreate flawless, indistinguishable human faces is already here. It really makes you wonder how long it’ll take before traditional actors aren’t even needed for CGI-heavy films, and AI just generates realistic expressions and performances on the fly.
Is it any good?
