Maybe a lot of those are bot accounts?
Those aren’t the ones people worry about, rather it’s dead people, or people who haven’t been on in a while but are real, etc… etc… etc…
I.E. the accounts that have real content that are linked to from real places that will be dead links.
Oh, that is not good. What about those twitter accounts like @joeerl or @hintjens?
It seems to me more of a threat of ‘get posting or lose your account’ - lots of people have stopped using Twitter and it looks like things are only going to get worse for it as they’ve stopped supporting their original API trying to get everyone on to v2 which has limits and you have to pay to use beyond them
