Interesting, I didn’t even know Pony was being used in production anywhere to start with…

But in short, they chose to switch to Rust for a (Much) Larger library ecosystem, especially in ML work, however they were even more pleased after switching to Rust with its ease of accessing C APIs, maturity, extensive documentation, can do everything Pony can and more, and a much more extensive pool of developers to pull from.

I have been saying it for a while now, but smaller more independent languages have their work cut out against those backed by giants
