Hmm, interesting analysis. The author reasons and points out that winning with and in AI goes beyond having models and engineering talent. There is the infrastructure, the data and power(electricity), and if anyone wishes to take on the US in that regards is starting from square one and on the back foot.
The final paragraph is interesting. He mentions the possibility of proprietary software becoming the norm because open source gives Agentic AI systems more context and targets to enable future attacks. This is interesting because I’d never looked at open source that way, but now I wonder if open source really is the way to go, when you factor in the AI threat.
