Excellent, straight to the point article. I think the same concept can be said about programming in general especially in the age of web app development.

There are too many abstractions, which hide us away from the inner workings and leave us stumped when things go wrong.

The moral of the lesson is: go deeper. Dig in. Only then you can soar high.
