Back in 2010 I grabbed a Sony stereo receiver, CD player, and speakers off the curb in front of somebody’s house and brought it home to hook up to my computer. The whole system still worked, so its previous owner must have had other reasons for getting rid of it.
I use it in my home office, so when I listen to Master Boot Record so does the rest of my neighborhood. Not to mention the local police department.
