In the list of default plugs for the app as we stand here, there is not yet a plug :fetch_current_user, this only appears in chapter 3.
Thanks for pointing this out! You are right–the first look at the pipeline does show the code as it would stand after running the auth generator. I’ll going to update the text to reflect that and clarify that the first look at the browser pipeline is just an example of what a pipeline looks like and that the code is pulled from the state of your code by the end of the chapter.
