Keyboard Review: UHK60V2 vs Defy vs Voyager vs Glove80 vs Svalboard

Yeah I have one. I used to be fine with them but then I hurt my pinky a bit and after that not so much. I found these other options I can program modifiers off my pinkies with stuff like Home Row Mods which helped a lot, however eventually hit issues around index/thumb and radial nerve. Most of this is ultimately some posture problems, it is quick to do the damage and takes a long time to undo the damage. These days I can do about half a day on one of the magic keyboards, can’t touch a trackpad those destroy me. Everyone is different and hits different problems. I sometimes find low profile better in some ways and worse in others. One thing that is particularly good on the Glove 80 is can rest on the palm rests and have everything in reach (bring the function row down with layers though) without stretching too far or having to float for long times (which usually causes me shoulder issues after some time). Sometimes I find the larger heavier keys less of an issue because they engage bigger forces, but other times I find they can be problematic over time. It is one of those things that you really can’t win.

Also side note, palm rest is what you want where you are resting on the base of your palm. Resting on or slightly below your wrist joint is compressing the carpel tunnel which is really really bad.
