What do you think? This project will survive or one more project in Google’s graveyard?
IMO Google has a lot to gain by using their own kernel. This is a strategically important project and it’s not expected to bring in a direct revenue. It’s more like a lever that will help them bring future revenue easier and quicker.
I think this one is really difficult to tell if it’s going to be thrown on the pile of abandon projects that google is known for. I can see the benefit of them having their own kernel but I have a hard time seeing where this fits in with all their other product/tech offerings.
By the way, the Fuschsia team is also currently hiring
No ability to block ads on Android. Boom, extra revenue.
I am looking forward to seeing the first device supporting Fuchsia.
